Summary/Abstract: The present work has been built on the analysis of two main pillars: globalisation and security. Each of these two pillars are distinct realities, complex, dynamic, and into a permanent transformation. This last feature is a consequence of the fact that these processes constitute the elements of an objective reality (such as changes that occur in the structuring of human needs) and subjective reality (such as political interventions). Under these circumstances, another binomial relation was imposed: sovereignty-humanitarian intervention, making it clear that the study of inter-conditioning of the two concepts should be subject to continuous review and understanding. From this point of view, the present paper intends to present the current state of the relationship between globalization and security, sovereignty and humanitarian intervention and to formulate a few personal opinions regarding the likely evolution on the short and long term of this equation, owing to new security threats in the conditions of globalization and the economic crisis, which the authors could identify.
