The labor market of the Functional Area of Oder Communes

Summary/Abstract: Rapid progress and diffusion of new technological solutions aims at contributing to qualitative and quantitative changes in the demand for employees. However, available data can indicate that the supply of labor is very frequently not adjusted to the real needs of the market. In spite of existing unemployment in some regions, it is difficult to find a qualified person ready to work. The situation on the labor market is affected among others by the observed demographic changes and narrow linking the educational offer to the needs of the labor market. The aim of this article is to present the situation on the labor market of the Functional Area of Oder Communes. This article is based on the analysis of the literature and author’s experiences and reflections concerning the team-work during the development of a strategy for this area. The research proceeding implemented both secondary and primary sources of information.
