Competitiveness of Belarus exports on the basis of economic forming conditions

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article was a general analysis of the influence of the Belarusian economy on its’ competitiveness in foreign trade. The paper includes a summary of the available in literature studies related to calculation of the relative comparative advantages of Belli Balassa for Belarusian exports between 1998 and 2012, as well as a description of the assumptions of the innovative development strategy adopted in 2004 by the Belarusian government, aimed at improving the international competitive position of exports. From a scientific point of view, the starting point for a given work is the explanation of Belarus’ lack of comparative advantage in exports by economic conditions analysis of the state forming process, as well as by the analysis of implementation government’s socio-economic development strategy.
