Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this research, the State Conservatories in the field of voice training of the students in the process of learning piano, is to determine their opinions and thoughts on the use of higher order thinking skills ‘reflective thinking’. Parts of the study sample consist of 3th and 5th grade students taking piano lessons in the field of voice education in the 2007-2008 Academic Year. Five scale were used in the applied survey and the Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient was found to be 0,8546 in the scopes of reliability studies. In the light of the findings obtained from the survey, performed some behaviors on the use of reflective thinking by the students, however; it is concluded that it is not a systematic and regular practice.
