The magic of picture

Summary/Abstract: The author presents the most important mechanisms of the image through the perspective of science and pedagogical practice. What constitutes the point of reference in this reflection is, above all, the photographic image. The negative influence of the image on the psyche of the individual has been stressed. The title of the article shows the indolence of the man in his way of using the image. This phenomenon is linked to the lack of knowledge concerning the mechanisms of the image as well as to the attitude of submitting to the content that this image presents. The conclusions of the article concern all the forms of the image, so they are also valid for the image of the film and that of the television.
