Health Problems Associated with Childhood Obesity

Summary/Abstract: Childhood obesity is a disease where the affected have to fight not only with being overweight but also with the health issues connected to it. These affect all organ systems and significantly decrease the quality of life for these children. The aim of this article is to put together a basic classification of these issues by organ systems and point out the most common and most serious issues. Neglecting these issues leads to chronic health problems that can last for a lifetime. That’s why it is necessary to eliminate this disease during childhood, since it forms the basis of a healthy adulthood.
