Summary/Abstract: What constitutes the point of reference for understanding the phenomenon of ecclesiastical movements is their theological dimension and not the sociological analysis. The author presents a problem in the following way: - historical and theological background - charisms - gifts offered by God to man - John Paul II: the Church is a movement - movement and mystery - response of man L John Paul II's teaching to representatives of ecclesiastical movements best describes the integral conception of faith that animates the people involved in the activities of different communities and groups in the Church. Ecclesiastical movements would like to represent an evangelical ferment as well as a tool for a complete transformation of a person in each dimension of existence and in each environment.
