Summary/Abstract: In the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century. Studzianna was one of the most important centers of worship of the Virgin in Poland. What testifies to this is the great number of pilgrims as well as that of the relations concerning the graces and benefits obtained through the Virgin in His Miraculous Image. The development of the Sanctuary, its growing importance and its role in the religious life of Poland are the result of the efforts of the Philippians. In the article we have presented the beginnings of the Oratory of St. Phillippe Neri in Poland, the foundation of the Congregation at Studzianna and its history as well as its annulment accomplished by the usuishing government as the repression after the Uprising of January.
