Summary/Abstract: Based on archival materials, published sources, press and periodicals, as well as relevant literature, the paper discusses constitutional status of religious communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period 1945-1992, as a basis for the periodization of the history of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
