Gaza in ancient Egyptian historical sources

Summary/Abstract: The Gaza zone plays an important role in contemporary politics. The importance of this piece of the coastline, which has always been disputed, is the subject of this article. The author draws on the historical documents of Ancient Egypt. In light of these, the rich and difficult to reconstruct the history of Gaza, is revealed even better. Without this sketch based on historical documents, it is impossible to appreciate the values of this area of the Coast, as well as its turbulent history today and once.
