Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes from documents and historical sources - the activities of Bishop Michel Klepacz - President of the Conference of the Episcopate of Poland. This period of the life of the Bishop of Łódź, who until now has been spanked by speculation and presumption. This period of contemporary history raises many questions and controversies. The author illuminates this period by strikingly showing the portrait of "the bishop of the hard times”
