Summary/Abstract: In this article the issue of socialisation process in a family environment is discussed. The interpenetrating processes of education and socialisation are indicated for the basic functions of a family. The importance of a family environment isalso discussed in the prevention of selected socialisation problems of young generation– aggressive behaviour, conflicts and understated self‐esteem.
