Summary/Abstract: The article concerns Israel Rabon’s war memoirs written during the war. It describes circumstances of their origins and also reconstructs his war biography. Author’s aim is to presents the process of gradual destruction of Łódź, Rabon’s home city, after the outbreak of the II World War and its impact on everyday life of the inhabitants.
