Summary/Abstract: This essay gives us an overview of how the suggestibility of the massesin the visual field has changed, starting with the communist and nazi propagandamechanism. All the specific examples show us, where we stand: witha cracked Photoshop anyone can modify any photo, and with the trickedpicture one can mislead the public opinion of the world. A famous exampleof this is the Last Tourist Guy series. It started spreading on the web throughe-mails the days after the fall of the WTC. The era of manipulators is over,we stepped into the era of multiplicators. The visuality is no longer anobject, nor a goal for bypassing or eluding ethics, but a frighteninghybridization of the two.
