Summary/Abstract: The essay is a case study of some Romanian and Hungarian dailies (edited in Romania) focusing on the presentation and treatment of alterity in the case of the 2009 American Academy Award winning movie directed by Gus van Sant, Milk. After analyzing a sample of the printed and online media (both in Hungarian and in Romanian languages) the study points out, that the treatment of sexual alterity is still a problematic point of the Romanian Media.
