Constraint and its absence in the context of social influence

Summary/Abstract: The article has both a general and a special purpose. The general purpose is to put the formal theory of action in contact with some of the features analysis of the influence cosubordinate concepts inside a social environment. The particular aim is to treat one of the characteristics of the analysis, the constraint and its absence, as cases of the constraint formal concept, detached from Georg Henrik von Wright’s formal theory of action. I simbolyzed a particular wrightean concept of constraint as an iterated act: doing to disappear the forbearance possibility. Absence of constraint is a denial of the iterated act on the one hand, and as denial on the conjunction of conditions of that act, on the other hand. We mapped the elements of the manipulation scheme to the formal theory of action and to logic of goals elements. With the regard the constraint we concluded its absence does not amount to full unavoidable forbearance possibility, nore to full freedom of forbearance
