Summary/Abstract: The VAR model was used in the analysis of pork price linkages between Polish market and the markets of selected EU countries. The Granger causality analysis was applied to determine the direction of price impulses. Impulse response function (IRF), the result of VAR model estimation, was used to describe the price adjustment dynamics. Decomposition of the variance of forecast error was used to determine the share price volatility on German and Danish pig meat markets in explaining price volatility on Polish pig meat market. The results of research indicate that the Polish pig meat market was strongly linked to pig meat markets of EU countries, and the price impulses flowed from EU countries' markets to the Polish market. Analysis also showed that German market determines the price changes on the Polish market. The share of the Danish market was clearly smaller, though also significant.
