Summary/Abstract: The interview with Nicolae Breban goes over the issues of literary formation and self-education. The writer sees friendship as a sign of one's being intensely alive. He talks about various relationships with other Romanian writers (Manolescu, Preda, Nichita Stănescu etc) and, in this context, explains the importance given in his works to the relationship master-disciple. Breban also declares his absolute respect towards women as bearers of the vital existential tensions necessary for shaping numan identities.
