Summary/Abstract: Innovation belongs to factors that are necessary for an enterprise to build a competitiveadvantage, implement new ideas and solutions. The innovation of an enterprise,then, leads to its further success. Therefore, contemporary companies should seek to establishrelations with other entities as this stimulates the process of innovation. Innovationof an enterprise is determined by many factors, among which a key position is occupied bythe capacity of building relational potential. Cooperation with external entities may bringmany benefits at every stage of the process of innovation i.e. creation, implementation,commercialization and diffusion of innovation. This article aims to highlight the importanceof establishing relations between the factors and their impact on stimulating innovation.The purpose of this article is to emphasize the role of building the relational potentialin the process of creating innovation in enterprises. For this purpose, an extensive analysisof the literature which discusses this problem has been made.
