Functioning of Financial Controlling System in Enterprises Based on Survey

Summary/Abstract: The dynamic development of enterprises and increase amount of data generated by the increasingly expanded management systems, causes that the searching for solutionsthat will allow the management team to provide credible, reliable information generated based on current data, becomes necessary. The solution, in this case, is to implement a controlling system supported by appropriate solutions, tools, information technology, and organizational changes. In the area of used tools most important is their reference to the strategies and objectives defined by the enterprise, both in the long and short term. Thechoice of information technologies affects the speed of acquiring the data in any dimension and quality. Also, it is necessary to carry out series of organizational changes which will aidthe smooth functioning of the implemented system. Therefore, the aim of the paper is to present the results of the survey with regard to the functioning of financial controlling in Poland on three main areas: tools, technological, and organizational.
