Summary/Abstract: Public administration institutions, like other contemporary organizations, striveto increase efficiency and effectiveness. One way, among others, to achieve such effects is toimplement a project management system. Because of the implementation of the task budgetingand starting a new funding period in European Union, this solution could be very interestingfor public administration. Therefore, the aim of the article is to analyze a projectmanagement model in public administration. Implementing it in the first place describeda method of Project Management (PM), taking into account the most famous approach inthe world like: IPMA (International Project Management Association), PMI (Project ManagementInstitute), PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environment) and so-called agile methodologies.Then, there were defined basic dimensions of project management, significant fromthe point of view of public administration. Each of these dimensions were relatedto the assumptions described above approaches, identifying the results, significant assumptionsimplementation.
