Project orientation as part of a modern model of university management

Summary/Abstract: The global competition in the higher education sector and uncertain environmentforces universities to find a new way for adaptation to new challenges. One of theways to tackle them is the university management model based on the following dimensionsof project orientation: project-oriented organizational culture; project team management;strategic management; project management; a comprehensive approach to the projectmanagement.The article presents the concept of project-oriented university. The authors put the thesisthat the project-orientation is a key element in the functioning of modern university. Basedon the research, a model of project-oriented university within five dimensions of projectorientation was presented.
