FUNCTIONAL EVALUATION OF INTERSECTION PAR SELO ON REGIONAL MOTORWAY R469 ŽIVINICE-MEĐAŠ AND DUBRAVE-TUZLA IN REGARD OF SAFETY ASPECT WITH PROPOSITION OF RECONSTRUCTION

Summary/Abstract: The fundamental role of science and profession in development management and exploitation motorway network, is defining the plans and programs of development road network, in accordance of functional requirements of traffic and environmental limitations, within maximum economical justification, based on realistic material prospects of society. Under the term of evaluation in traffic implies procedure of grading and making decision on optimal system of development and utilization of road and street network. Functional or technical-exploitation evaluation represent procedure of grading conditions of traffic on road network. Functional evaluation is subjected to current network and projected solutions of new network, i.e. improvement of existing road network. In this document, method of evaluation is explained for ground level intersection-Par Selo on regional motorway R469 Živinice -Međas and R470 Dubrave-Tuzla from the traffic safety aspect with proposition of reconstruction, where is determined the urgency in year 2017 it is necessary to construct the roundabout in order to increase safety and faster vehicular flow. Based on preliminary project from year 2017, the main project was developed on the basis of which it was made roundabout and released for (commercial) use in November 2017.
