Summary/Abstract: The plastic language of George Balanchine who is the founder of neoclassic ballet is considered in the article as the mediated analogue of music language and its plastic equivalent. From this point of view the principles of the correspondence of musical and choreographic series in the plotless ballets of the choreographer (the American period of his) creative work are being studied.
