Summary/Abstract: It is well known that Sanskrit texts on scholarly discourses, aptly titled śāstras, show an amazing consistency in the matter of the methodology of presentation. There are implicit norms in the arrangement of the subject matter and chapter division, wherein, apart from the beginning and conclusion, the relevance of the sequential presentation, technically called granthasaṅgati, constitutes an important criterion. The principles adopted for chapter division of works are either hinted by the original author in the colophon itself through the title name or by the commentators who explicate the text in a sequential way.
