Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to present selected frameworks constructed by the queer movements in Poland. Despite apparent successes, actions on the rights of LGBT people after 1989 demonstrate a multitude of strategies and various entities that design them. By using the notion of a framework, i.e. an interpreted pattern created by social movements and allowing social mobilisation, the text shows the main ideas merging together the activities in favour of LGBT people and against heternormativity. The frameworks specified in the qualitative study include: visibility, equality, diversity, self-improvement; and new emerging patterns: the family spirit and solidarity. The author focuses on demonstrating the discussions of the self-improvement and solidarity frameworks. Although the discussed patterns seem to be coherent in many areas, discussions on the detailed meaning of specific framework are frequent at the level of activist practices in everyday operations, as well as the application thereof in activism, mutual interpenetration and the need for transformation.
