Summary/Abstract: Some African tribes believe that birds in their ignorance can see the hidden star-lit sky together with the sunshine. It seems that only that kind of birds' view can reach for a part of the truth. I used that view in writing my book of political essays about Yugoslavia, titled YU-tlantide. By using such a view, I would like to tell you something about the position of a writer in Serbia today. I will try to remain unbiased and the most I can give you are a few personal reflexions. You must draw your own conclusions.
