Style of musical media discourse

Summary/Abstract: The authoress considers journalism as two-phase activity: reflection of reality and influence on reality (stimulation of social activity). The authoress presents a typology of informational press genres (relating to reality; judging the reality and someone else’s opinions; persuasive – relating to social problems). A review in musical media discourse treats of esthetic judgment of work and performance (sound and interpretation). On the example of the press text the authoress analyzes the thematic content of a review (instrument, performer, work), lexical and stylistic means of expression used to render sounds and meanings, emotional way of expression of approvals and complaints.
