Summary/Abstract: Psychological resilience is defined as an individual's ability to properly adapt to stress and adversity. Stress and adversity can come in the shape of family or relationship problems, health problems, or workplace and financial worries, among others. In other words, resilience is one's ability to bounce back from a negative experience with “competent functioning”. Resilience is a rare ability; it is found in the average individual and it can be learned and developed. Resilience should be considered a process, rather than a trait to be had. It is a process of individuation through a structured system with gradual discovery of personal and unique abilities. Resilience is generally thought of as a “positive adaptation” after a stressful or adverse situation. In our research the resilience is considered and analyzed at different levels in some economic sectors. The research is realized by the sample of 298 persons working in those economic sectors.
