Summary/Abstract: Contemporary art consists of many different cultures, styles, and methods, These encompass mainly abstract visions and cannot be recognized as concrete objects. It seems that art is everywhere, and almost everything can be considered as art. Therefore, we often hear the question: “Is this art?” Contemporary art is associated mostly with self-expression. However, contemporary art is oriented towards conceptualism, in which idea(s) take precedence over traditional aesthetic, technical, and material concerns. Moreover, the relationship of conceptual art and science is getting stronger because of interactive digital art. The article introduces a theoretical analysis and a case study. Paintings by Irma Leščinskaitė represents a creative course starting from abstract expressionism ending in abstract minimalism Abstract minimalism is an extreme conceptualism that is based on postmodernism inspiration. It combines different styles, points of view, means and interactions with the audience as mediated by digital technologies.
