Summary/Abstract: In a globalized word, as a result of industrial revolution, further steps on ongoing and rapid production and finally by gaining a significant acceleration of service industry, businesses are obliged to adapt and pay attention to different and detailed factors. From past to nowadays, public sector, which represents the most important share of all local and international industries, also necessitates to adapt its own management and administration to overwhelmingly changing conditions. In that context, the importance of performance and audit comes into prominence and the establishment of a healthy and effective audit is crucially highlighted from the smallest unit to the entire organization as a whole. Nowadays, the concept of audit seperates from only the brief control of financial inputoutput and it concentrates on configuring performance and business processes and obtaining gains to keep up the business somehow profitably and efficiently similar to relevant private sector operations. As a result of public audit based on quality, performance and accountability criteria, a system of business processess will be available which is far from discussion and uncertainity with a maximum efficiency and minimum financial apprehension. This study firstly discusses the concepts of public administration and the performance audit in public administration and later examines the impact of performance audit in public administration on business processes.
