Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the issue of local government cooperation policy, which brings many benefits, such as higher efficiency of services provided, economies of scale, better use of resources, but mainly better meeting the local public needs of the entities operating in the locality, i.e., in particular residents and businesses. At present, it is possible to implement in the policy of cooperation besides the traditional cooperation based on voluntary and institutionalized cooperation (e.g. associations and microregions) also the principles of shared economy, which allows the use of resources that are not sufficiently exploited for the sake of preference of efficiency at the expense of ownership.
