Summary/Abstract: Examining the fi nancial culture of young people has received much attention in recent years. More and more banks andfi nancial institutions in Hungary are dealing with the young age group, for assessing and developing fi nancial culture, andon the other hand as a potential customer base, target of future economical projects. The aim of this paper is to show howthe young people’s relationship with the banking sector has evolved since the global crisis over the last decade. It focuses inparticular on banking habits and fi nancial perceptions of people aged 15–35 years. The study summarizes the Hungarianinternal situation, and what kind of research and the results that have emerged over the past 10 years.
