Humanist techniques of self-formation around the quattrocento and nowadays

Summary/Abstract: In his lecture the translator of Antonio Beccadelli’s Hermafroditus focuses on the techniques of self-representation in the humatist poetical model primarily in the light of the institutionalization of contemporary system of readers’ requirements. What makes the text interesting is that it brings the described techniques into relation with the trend in contemporary Hungarian poetry that builds on role-play.
