Summary/Abstract: Child abuse and neglect are serious public health problems all over the world. The cases of child abuse and neglect are underreported due to several reasons. The lack of coordination and sufficient training of professionals dealing with child abuse and neglect case are the common problems for it. The aim of the paper is to present professionals’ view about possibilities of implementation of Surveillance system for child abuse and neglect (CAN-MDS). All participants share the view that CAN-MDS has a real possibility to be implemented in Bulgaria, because it is easy to use instrument and will improve situation with identification, registration and monitoring cases of child abuse and neglect, as well as the communication between different professionals will be facilitated. They also provide some ideas for improvement the proposed System in the Bulgarian context.
