Summary/Abstract: The Internet and its applications in new forms of media offer a new existential dimension for man, dimension that we call virtual reality, cyberspace or online existence (unlike the real, offline existence). Along with online existence come also new thinking and approach to human’s existence. It is chiefly a question of relation between existing online and offline. This is also what this contribution concentrates on. There are three partial goals: - 1. what distinguishes identity or continuity between online and offline; 2. remaining difference between these two kinds of existence; 3. trends that can be spotted in this relationship. To fulfil these three goals, qualitative methods, especially hermeneutic, be used.
