Summary/Abstract: The huge amount of scientific knowledge and the flexible development of information and communication technologies result in global changes of current world economy that creates new perspective and potential for economic growth as well as increasing labour productivity and employment in the countries since innovations and technologies stimulate the economic and social development in current period of informatisation. A strong digital economy is vital for innovation, growth, jobs and European competitiveness. The spread of digital literacy has a massive impact on the labour market and the type of skills needed in the economy and society. The survey was focused on effective utilisation of digital skills by students of various faculties in University of Žilina.
