Summary/Abstract: This paper considers the problem of changing the attitudes of researchers to the phenomenon of "cultural elite" during the Soviet Union and post-Soviet Ukraine. Analyzes the work of scientists devoted to the analysis of this problem in the socio-cultural situation of the twentieth century.
