Selected Methods of Measuring the Effectiveness of Healthcare Entities

Summary/Abstract: This article presents studies of healthcare entities efficiency, selected methods of measuring the effectiveness of them and the possibilities of using the most commonly used methods for estimating effectiveness in the healthcare sector. This article indicates that in practice there are many methods for estimating the effectiveness of healthcare entities, however the DEA and SFA methods should be considered the most popular methods for estimating multi-criteria effectiveness in the healthcare sector. However, quantitatively, research using a data envelopment analysis (DEA) prevails, the results of which may bring important in-formation about the unit's efficiency compared to the entities in the sector.
