Summary/Abstract: From 2012 to 2015 a project entitled Implementation of defined learning outcomes in the linguistic and communication field in the Zenica-Doboj Canton 2012-2015 was implemented in the Zenica-Doboj Canton area. Within it authors had different roles, experiences and results, and upon completion of the project activities they continued team collaboration in the promotion of B/C/S language and literature teaching from the 1st to the 9th grade of the primary school by introducing innovative teaching practices. One of them is called Meeting of Generations in B/C/S Language and Literature. The mentioned practice was done in the elementary school "Meša Selimović" in Zenica from March 2017 in one class of one teacher education and one class of subject teaching. The practice implied interpolation and integration of B/C/S language and literature in the younger and older classes of primary school 158 in the way that once a month teaching hour for selected teaching units are conducted in the combined classroom of students of one-teacher education and subject teaching (grades IV and VII) with project or thematic planning. The teaching lessons organized in this way are done by two teachers (teacher of one-teacher education and subject teaching). We based this innovative practice on student-centered learning (SCL), which shifts the basic emphasis from teaching language and literature to the learning and development of linguistic and communication competencies.
