Summary/Abstract: Trauma derived from genocide in stories of war childhood Jasmina Hodžić Telegrams for Angela Palmeras and Dževo Avdić My smile is my revenge on the subject of research into this work. The focus is on the experiences of children during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period 1991-1995. year shown in the narratives of the direct participants through their testimonies. The paper questions how the literature that depicts the experiences of refugee children places itself within the discourse on cultural trauma. The last war on the territory of the former Yugoslavia merged different war experiences into one: the trauma experience. The aggressor targeted the victims: children, women, men. Children who survived the camps before they came to the "free" territory had a shocking and confusing experience. Although war has produced a large number of narratives, however, there are few who document patrons and deportations of expelled families. The emigration rate indicates the depth of cultural trauma, and the work follows its manifestations in the analyzed literary texts. The paper suggests that the manner of presentation recorded in the analyzed texts points to the possibility of literature to transcend the national boundaries and to interact cultures in the foreground.
