Summary/Abstract: The article deals with historical premises of the foundation of the regional art. Famous artists of different decades in Rivne region which had influence upon development and foundation of national distinctive culture are shown in the article. Historical fate of the western Ukraine, its geographical position, economical conditions and social-political position caused special perception of its art, different genre painting and art interactions, which influenced upon development and interaction of international relations. Thus, we can identify that art tradition in Rivne region was formed under the influence of geopolitical peculiarities and historical events of the region.
