Summary/Abstract: This paper attempts to provide a detailed characteristic of social relations among the inhabitants of Iwanowice parish, a rural area near Krakow, over a time span of fifteen years within the first half of the 19th century. Social network analysis tools are used for an assessment of the effect of various factors, such as place of residence, occupational structure, age, literacy and religious denomination, on the shaping of the observed social order. Moreover, additional graph measures are used to identify the key social actors of the community.
