Current issues of New Testament christology

Summary/Abstract: The theme has for object the actual problem connected with the person of Lord Jesus Christ. The problem is widely discussed in the systematic theology, but in the theology of New Testament the approaches and decisions are different. The biblical scholars are seriously hesitant in the understanding of the texts of the Old Testament and the New Testament. Some of them confirm the divinity of Christ, and others reject it. Everyone looks for reliable methods to prove one’s thesis. If the Old Testament speaks against existing of other gods, how we could prove the divinity of Jesus Christ by the language of Bible. For this purpose the presentation draws attention to different biblical and extra-biblical evidences and to the manner in which they present God and Lord Jesus Christ. The interpretation given is in the orthodox tradition.
