Summary/Abstract: Law is a system of rules created and enforced to regulate the relationships within a society. Therefore, each recipient is expected to understand the content of laws, regulations and other legal texts to be able to adequately apply the norms and rules contained therein. This article considers the comprehensibility and clarity of the Turkish legal language in the light of the fact that it contains a substantial number of lexical units of Persian and Arabic origin.
