Summary/Abstract: Who was in fact Lev Shestov? Philosopher, who rejected the academic form of philosophy. He urgently resisted to the idea that his thoughts and work could become the object of academic arguing. He was passionately looking for the truth which is alive and real. The truth according to Shestov is not in any case only a kind of dry theorizing and word games, or rhetorical exercise. He refused any kind of nonpersonal form of scientific mind but at the same time also the philosophic thinking which wanted to become only the science – according to E. Husserl – the strict science.
