Local Public Policies and the Role of the Parties Concerned in the Effective Regional Development Context

Summary/Abstract: his article reviews the role and importance of the relation between local policies and the role of the parties concerned. The theoretical clarification of the key characteristics of the parties concerned are addressed in the context of their importance in the local public policies building process. Some ideas also are put forward in order to allow better appraisal of new approaches in the public-sector institutions' practice. The authors put accent on focusing process in several key areas in building effective relations between the parties concerned and local authorities in specific areas of adaptation of good practice in local policies and strengthening the role of public consultations as a key tool in the modern organizations.
