Summary/Abstract: The philosophy of electricity and magnetism has had a very rich history. Electrical and magnetic phenomena that were hard to explain did not lend themselves to easy rational explanation, so the naive approach to them was a fantasy-based,mythical one. This article briefly discusses the description of these phenomena, which led to the formulation of the very first philosophical problems. Today’s mathematical physics has unified these interactions not on the basis of “primary”sensory intuitions, but on the basis of a mathematical model. Thus, mathematical forms and structures not only furnish the correct basis for scientific descriptions, but also indicate the philosophical basis of our reality.
