Summary/Abstract: The article explores the theoretical foundations of book storage sites in the libraries of Ukraine. The meaning of «storage» and «conservation» book sights and history of the term «monuments book» criteria of books to book sites, selection of manuscripts to the state register of the National Book property in Ukraine are revealed.
