Summary/Abstract: The prepositional phrase functioning as an adjunct of place has the same structure, the preposition as head of the prepositional phrase and nominal phrase as its complement (object of preposition). Typical complement of prepositional phrase is nominal phrase and its typical order is preposition + complement. This study belongs to the field of syntax and is based on the hypothesis that different types of texts have a different structure of prepositional phrase that expresses adjunct of place (location). We tried to confirm this hypothesis by drawing tree diagrams of the phrases, by using statistical method and the comparative one in the newspaper Koha ditore, the novel Pesë vakte and the translation of Lord of the Rings movie script. Furthermore, the analysis of the phrases is done based on the immediate constituent analysis, in which every component of the phrase itself is compiled of smaller components, which can be divided to the finest element of the phrase. Taking into account statistical data, comparisons between texts are done concerning similarities and differences. According to this study, we come to a conclusion that 27 different prepositions are used in the selected texts, only five types of prepositions are used in the newspaper, in the movie script are used 14 types, while in the novel there is a greater use of prepositions, totally 21 prepositions and a preposition locution ( mes për mes). Therefore, the novel prevails with the greater variety of prepositions, followed by script and newspaper.
